Oh, Canada!

Happy 143rd, Canada! From BC to Quebec, New Brunswick to Nova Scotia, this holiday is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the great Canadian bands that you’ve probably heard right here on KEXP, from indie rock favorites like Montreal’s Arcade Fire, Vancouver’s The New Pornographers, Toronto’s Owen Pallett, and some infectious Francophone power pop from Malajube, to name a few. Cheryl Waters will be spinning a Canadian cast throughout the Mid-Day Show from 10am-2pm. Happy Canada Day, and for your enjoyment, a selection of videos by our favorite northern neighbors!
