KEXP listeners have been in love with Shout Out Louds since their 2005 debut, Howl Howl Gaff Gaff, partly because of the band’s unmistakable 80′s New Wave influences -- elements of The Cure, New Order, The Smiths, and many others can be heard filtered through their earlier work -- but over the years and through several releases, Shout Out Louds have continue to develop a sound of their own while still keeping roots to the bands that inspired them. And their fanbase keeps growing! Work, their third release, is a bit more stripped down but just as catchy and melodic as anything they’ve done. While touring behind Work, Shout Out Louds generously donated their time for a exclusive benefit show for KEXP donors as part of our VIP Club Concert series at the Triple Door, before playing their own sold-out show later that night.
Check out the eight songs from this extended session now. And to find out more about how to become a KEXP member and attend our VIP Club Concert series, head over to our Donate page.
