Part of the We Are Scientists live concert experience (as if their upbeat and joyfully caffeinated songs weren’t enough) is the hilariously witty onstage repartee between lead singer/guitarist Keith Murray and bassist Chris Cain.
So good in fact that there have been widespread calls for them to lend their conversational talents to everything from talk radio shows to university commencement addresses to recorded messages sent by NASA to the furthest reaches of the galaxy in search of intelligent life.
Check out these two video clips from their recent show at Neumos to see the pair in action:
In a world where other bands might grunt a quick “thanks” in between songs while looking at their shoes, it’s nice to see that We Are Scientists take the noble art of entertaining the crowd very seriously by not being very serious at all.
Any other bands out there that do a great job of engaging with the crowd in between songs? Any other groups who you think are much funnier onstage? Who would win in an underwater laser gun jujitsu battle between Keith and Chris? Let us know in the Comments section below.
