Live Video: State of the Artist @ Capitol Hill Block Party

Yeah, the SOTA boys love to have a good time, but don’t ever accuse them of not doing their homework first! The three young emcees, all in their early twenties, produced 15 tracks on their debut full-length, Seattlecalifragilisticextrahelladopeness, dropping samples from rappers of Seattle’s past and featuring a who’s who of the current Seattle hip-hop scene, with appearances from J. Pinder, Candidt, P Smoov, Grynch, Helladope, THEESatisfaction, Thig Natural, and Champagne Champagne, just to name a few. When they stopped by KEXP’s broadcast from the Caffe Vita Bean Room during the Capitol Hill Block Party, the SOTA boys — Parker, TH and Hyphen8d — proved that even without the all-star cast they could still bring the party. Check it out:
