In the Studio: KEXP Photos from August

Month after month we have great bands, brilliant singer-songwriters, international acts and cutting edge indie acts into our studio to perform some live music for broadcast and on-demand listening. In August we had some world class performances pile out of their vans and into our intimate studio. This is a collection of select images from performances in the month of August and you can view the rest of the photo album by clicking on [more] beneath the images. Also be sure to listen to each artists’ set at the KEXP On Demand Live Performances page!

We had the pleasure of hosting Argentinian eclectic-folk trio Tremor, Seattle’s own Stone Gossard (of Pearl Jam) and friends in Brad, Toronto indie-stomp trio Elliott Brood, Portland synth-pop group Reporter, lo-fi folk group Cotton Jones, Malian blues singer/guitarist Vieux Farka Touré, Seattle MC Trio State of the Artist, Brooklyn surf-pop group Dinosaur Feathers, Seattle garage-blues duo Hobosexual, Austin fuzz-pop band Woven Bones, and Canadian post-punkers Tokyo Police Club.

And yet! We also were lucky enough to host German/Nigerian soul-combo singer Nneka, Milwaukee psych-pop group Jaill, Brooklyn/Seattle singer-songwriter Eric Elbogen as Say Hi, Norwegian electro-pop group Casiokids, Seattle multi-instrumentalist Anomie Belle, hip hop-soulster Aloe Blacc, infamous noise-pop group Wavves, Seattle indie rockers Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band, Seattle tropical pop band Yuni in Taxco, dance party act Truckasauras, and Seattle singer-songwriter Jenn Ghetto (of Carissa’s Wierd) as S.
