Battle of the Bands: from Seattle to Iceland!

They’re your favorite band in Seattle. You’ve seen ‘em play at every club on the Hill, maybe even in your friend’s backyard. You excitedly listened to their first in-studio performance on Audioasis. You’ve bought the t-shirt, and told all your friends about them.

And now you can send their ass to Iceland.

KEXP is teaming up with Icelandair and Seattle Weekly to present REVERB Local Music Festival Battle of the Bands — the band who gets the most votes will receive a slot in the renowned Iceland Airwaves Music Festival, running October 14th through 18th.

This year’s festival features performances from over 150 international and Icelandic acts, including Hercules and Love Affair, Toro Y Moi, Seabear, Junip… and your favorite Seattle band, maybe???

Voting ends October 4th at 5:00 pm. KEXP employees are not eligible for this contest, so confidential to Kevin Cole: you can take down that Craigslist ad looking for bandmates.

It really is too bad! They’re on tour with Fences and not able to play Reverb.

I’ve been voting every day for my absolute favorite Seattle band Massy Ferguson! Is there any way we can see which bands are in the lead?

Oh, never mind I missed the Reverb comment. So, uh, M Bison for the win.
