Broadcasting live from the Ace Hotel NYC last month during the CMJ Music Marathon, KEXP hosted 13 bands to play in the lobby exclusively for our listeners. Over three days, DOM, Dean & Britta, The Drums, Holly Miranda, Two Gallants’ Adam Haworth Stephens, Revolver, Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Bloodgroup, Glasser, Devotchka, Colin Meloy of The Decemberists, Cults, and The Extra Lens (featuring John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats and Franklin Bruno of The Human Hearts) performed stellar live sets, while Moby and ?uestlove from The Roots stopped by to spin DJ sets for the crowd.
