  • The new album from The Cave Singers finally has a name. On February 22, their Jagjaguwar debut, No Witch, hits stores and now you can finally learn the titles of the songs you’ve been hearing them play live, like this one, now called “Haller Lake”:

  • Wondering about all the samples used on the new Girl Talk album All Day?  Luckily there’s an amazing new website that helps. All Day Samples allows you to stream the whole record and watch on-screen as the steady stream of sample sources pops up. Very cool!
  • In support of their upcoming new album, Tel Aviv’s most explosive live band, Monotonix, announced a North American tour. If you have yet to see this band up-close, do it now! Filter has all the tour details.
  • The Strokes complete LP4? Stereogum has uncovered the Twitter facts behind a possible completion of a NEW album from The Strokes.  Despite a few months of mixing ahead of them and no name for album as of yet, we’re crossing our fingers for a 2011 release.
  • Florence + The Machine to perform at the 17th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert held in Oslo Norway on December 11th: Other performers include: Herbie Hancock, Robyn, and Elvis Costello. Denzel Washington is the host.
  • VIDEO: MBV has a cool preview of the video for Trans Am guitarist Phil Manley’s new solo album Life Coach, due out 1/25

  • MP3: The Morning Benders - Excuses (Golden Filter Re-Mix): Gorilla vs Bear has the second new Morning Benders remix in as many days. You can listen to both of them here.
  • Jimi Hendrix Guitar sale: Spinner is reporting on the sale of Jimi Hendrix’s “All Along the Watchtower” guitar. The auction is set to be held  at Bonhams of London on Dec 15th. The guitar is expected to fetch approximately $200,000.
