KEXP recorded the exclusive confessions of a Retail DJ. Here’s the low-down. She can’t tell you her name. She can’t tell you where she works. What she can tell you is this: she will infect you with music. Her tunes will make you buy those jeans. Even if they’re too expensive.

Having worked in retail I can say that the music doesn’t just inspire the customers. Sometimes, after a loooooooong day on the floor, the right song gives you that pep in your step until closing time.
