Rachel’s 2010 Top Ten Albums
Hello. Here’s some of my favorite albums (and videos) of this year. Please enjoy.

Ariel Pink – Before Today (4AD)
Ariel Pink’s most polished album to date, but it’s still pretty great! (I rhyme all the time)

Grave Babies – Bloodskul (Skrot)
Allow me to bum thee

Nerve City – Sleepwalker (Sacred Bones)
Ever feel really sad, but happy about it?

Personal and the Pizzas – Raw Pie (1-2-3-4- Go!)
Do you like pizza?

SPURM – SPURM 2 (ggnzla)
I maybe be biased on this one, but I think SPURM might be the second best band in Seattle.

The Intelligence – Males (In the Red)
The Intelligence have a great tour blog. I just learned they will be making a video for the song “Bong Life” dressed in victoria era clothes. I can’t wait. Til then, here’s a video of them live (sorta).

Thee Oh Sees – Warm Slime (In the Red)
Thee Oh Sees are gems. Hot, sweaty, frantic, talented gems. Kind of like this video.

Ty Segall – Melted (Goner)
If I were half as talented at his age as I am now I’d be twice as talented.

Tyvek – Nothing Fits (In the Red)
Let’s slam dance

Unnatural Helpers – Cracked Love and Other Drugs (Hardly Art)
I predict Dean and his rotating cast of superhero musicians will continue naturally helping to keep rock alive into the next century.

Rachel is a fill-in DJ at KEXP.
