All of us at KEXP are feeling especially lucky that the Live at KEXP CD series has been such a success over the years.
In 2010, KEXP welcomed 486 artists into the studio, and each of these intimate performances was recorded by our talented engineers and broadcast for your listening pleasure. Hearing them again evokes powerful memories, and provides a new perspective on the music and artists.
Last Friday was a prime example of the deep connections live music can make. During the Morning Show, host John Richards announced the untimely death of Broadcast frontwoman Trish Keenan — and immediately played music from Broadcast’s 2005 in-studio performance. The performance showcased her talent in an authentic and moving way, providing a heartfelt tribute that you wouldn’t hear anywhere else.
Folks here are hard at work on volume seven of the Live at KEXP series, and we want to you to be a part of what makes ALL the music on KEXP so special. When you make a gift of $250 or more, we’ll thank you by including your name in the liner notes of Live at KEXP Volume Seven. Plus, we want you to hear it first, so we’ll send you the CD before it is released to the public.
You only have a little while to get in on this special liner notes offer, so don’t wait! And thanks for powering the music you love.
