Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup Announced

The lineup for Bonnaroo 2011 has been released! This year, the Tennessee festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with the likes of Arcade Fire, The Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, The Strokes, The Decemberists, Bassnectar, Iron & Wine, Girl Talk, Florence & the Machine, Explosions in the Sky, Gogol Bordello, Beirut, Scissor Sisters, Ratatat, Robyn, Deerhunter, Matt & Kim, DeVotchka, Sleigh Bells, Best Coast, School of Seven Bells, Wavves, !!!, Freelance Whales, Man Man, Smith Westerns, and more.

    The lineup looked like a big yawn - like your typical indie rock fest - based on the artists you listed. They’re great and all but how could you not list the likes of Dr. John and the Original Meters, Superjam featuring Dan Aurbach and Dr. John, Mavis Staples, Bela and the Flecktones, Justin Townes Earle, Loretta Lynn...now it’s starting to look a little more interesting. You even left off perennial KEXP favorites, the Head and the Heart and Phosphorescent.
