Beady Eye is the new group from Oasis members Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer and Andy Bell, plus newcomer Chris Sharrock. They’re a blistering mix of classic rock, pop, and glam that proves that while Oasis may be long gone, their spirit certainly endures. The debut album Different Gear, Still Speeding, is chock full of all Oasis’ trademark Britpop attributes: snarky vocals, hooky guitars, and simple but addictive chord progression.
Although fans will have to wait one week to pick up the album, you can listen to an live preview, recorded exclusively for KEXP, right now! KEXP’s own Cheryl Waters had the fortune to talk with Liam Gallagher and Andy Bell about Beady Eye before the session. You can listen to both the interview and the live performance here:

good on ya!
Earth shattering performance. Beady Eye are on top form! my only problem was that my laptop couldn’t blast the volume loud enough. The interview was also great, Waters makes the conversation flow nice and easy because she knows what she is talking about. Even Liam noticed! Great job on both sides. Beady Eye can’t wait to see you here in Canada and the US in June
They sound great live! Can’t wait for the new cd on March 1st and live shows to come.

Just came back from Glasgow, Scotland, yesterday. When I think that next week the band is going to be playing at Borrawlands (I was staying in the hotel 10 min walk distant ), I just ....don’t want to even think about it....
I am going to try my best...and fly out again just for the gig, either at the London gig or when back in Scotland, forgotten the name of the town at the moment though close to Glasgow....CRAZY perhaps....but DEFINITELY WORTH....u live only once!!!!..:-)
Thanks Liam...thanks Beady Eye....

Loved the interview. Thanks for doing that. Liam is hilarious and this record will surprise people if they give it a chance. Great job, KEXP!
Thanks KEXP!!
THANKSS!!!!!
:DDD
The Roller sounded BRILLIANT, can’t wait to see it live
OMG!!! Amazing, Liam’s voice is back :D
What pleases me most about this is that Liam and the boys have not sat on their arse and have showed no fear, they didn’t spend 2 years making an album and they didn’t quit.
Like Liam or loath him you have to take your hat of to him for putting himself out there, and actually doing other things. He has done Oasis, Pretty Green and now Beady Eye. He is not 1 dimensional like another Gallagher.
Having heard some of the album I would definetly say its 1 -0 Liam!
I wonder when Noel will come out of his Ivory ’3 yrs to make an album’ Tower.
Long Live Liam, Gem, Andy, Cris and the rest of Beady Eye.
Just listened 2nd time and it just gets better and better.
Now!! got me parka, desert boots and paisley..TROXY here I come.
SEE YA ALL THERE MAN!
FUCKING AWESOME!
Fockin amazing, cant believe how Liam could hit those notes again, it took him 10 years to get it back but hey. we’re finally there!
Awsome! There well good! Thanks man, can’t wait to see them in Edinburgh next April :D:D
It’s funny because March 1 1994 was the date of their first TV appearance ever on The Word. 17 years later, the same date, Beady eye release their debut album.
SPOOOoooky.
sounds quality, beady eye are goin to be class
