  • It’s 2011 and TV on the Radio are back. Interscope will release Nine Types of Light on April 12, and the album will mark the Brooklyn indie rockers first release since 2008′s Dear Science. Seattle’s 107.7 The End debuted the new track “Will Do,” which you can listen to below. They’ll also be touring and you can see some of the dates they’ve scheduled here.

TV on the Radio - Will Do:

  • Following the news that the White Stripes have broken up for good, Jack White has apparently decided that he’s going to be content with the Dead Weather, the Raconteurs, and running his Third Man record label. He recently told the British Q Magazine that he will never form another band.
  • Foo Fighters are also set to have a big 2011, and just like TV on the Radio, their new album, Wasting Light, will hit shelves April 12. Click here to here the new track “Rope.” And don’t forget, they’ll be headlining Sasquatch! on May 27!

  • In a bizarre news story that seems more like it is a headline from The Onion, Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen recently said that he performed an appendectomy on a fan backstage after a show in Germany. He mentioned that he can’t elaborate due to legal and medical reasons, but that the fan was all right. Says Leeuwen: “We forgot the anesthesia. I do know how to perform these operations, but I’d had too much to drink that day.” Rock and roll!
