- Trent Reznor wins Oscar for The Social Network: Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has won his first Academy Award. Reznor and long-time collaborator Atticus Ross won the Oscar for Best Original Score for The Social Network, the duo’s first project as film composers. (via Rolling Stone)
- R.I.P Excepter’s Clare Amory: We are sad to announce that Clare Amory of the experimental group Excepter passed away yesterday at the age of 35, following a long and brave fight with cancer. Our thoughts go out to her relatives, her life partner and bandmate Nathan Corbin, and the extended Excepter family.
