Ben Gibbard played solo last Sunday at San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival, and took the time to debut the title track from upcoming Death Cab For Cutie record Codes and Keys. KEXP has previously reported that the new album will feature “less guitars and more synths,” so expect the album version to sound quite different than this solo piano ditty - but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t listen! Check it out below (the sound quality is surprisingly good for a live recording):

I canʻt wait for the new album. This song sounds great (especially for a live recording, as you said.) Itʻll be interesting to hear the differences between the upcoming album compared to those prior.
