  • The Kills Offer Free MP3 of Single “DNA”: Less than a month before the release of their forthcoming LP Blood Pressures, swaggering art rock duo The Kills are upping the hype ante with a free MP3 download of second single “DNA.” Like their omninous video for debut single “Satellite,” released at the end of January, “DNA” oozes the mysterious-teetering-on-dangerous allure that veils The Kills’ blues-and-booze driven music. • Spike Jonze and Arcade Fire bring Scenes from the Suburbs: Here’s the trailer to the 30-minute movie, directed by Spike Jonze in collaboration with Arcade Fire, which will be showing on Wednesday during SXSW:

  • Junior Boys – “ep”: Canadian duo Junior Boys’ fourth album It’s All True is out in June. HERE is a link to their lead track “ep.” It’s All True is due out 6/14 on Domino. (via Stereogum)
  • Okkervil River Offer New Song for Download: You can also download a new song from the band’s upcoming album, I Am Very Far, due May 10.

  • Beach Boys to Finally Release “Smile” Sessions: Billboard reports that Capitol is finally planning to release The Smile Sessions later this year. The album Smile was stalled in 1967 by sonic mastermind Brian Wilson’s nervous breakdown, and its songs were heavily bootlegged in the ensuing decades. Wilson released a much-loved, reworked solo version in 2004, but all sorts of issues with record labels and band members prevented the official release of the original Smile. (via Pitchfork)
  • The 8 Best Videos of The Week: This week Stereogum has new videos from The Living Sisters (directed by Michel Gondry), Pharoahe Monch, Die Antwoord, and Cloud Nothings. The videos from Guillemots, YELLE, and Willow Smith have some amazing special effects — bodies embedded in pavement, bodies spinning and floating in space, entire city streets emerging from sand. But the Ohelha Negra clip is impressive without special effects:
