The Spike Jonze-Arcade Fire collaborative short film Scenes from the Suburbs has gotten a fair bit of hype over the course of the year since its announcement, but if the trailer’s any indication, it’s been worth the wait. Scenes is centered on the “friends growing apart” diaspora of adolescence, and features Win Butler’s narration. Win and brother Will also co-wrote the script with Jonze, so expect drama, heartbreak, and maybe some clever, thinly veiled alliteration. Here’s the trailer:
