  • It’s getting closer and closer to the release of Helplessness Blues, Fleet Foxes much anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed 2008 self-titled debut album. The title track and “Battery Kinzie” have already been cast out into the interspace for your listening pleasure, and now the local indie sensations have released the video for “Grown Ocean,” which you can view below. Helplessness Blues is due to hit shelves May 3.

  • While Fleet Foxes have teased us by only releasing a few songs, The Kills have made their forthcoming album Blood Pressures available for listen in its entirety. If you can’t wait until it will be released next Tuesday (April 5), just click here and you can stream the whole thing. The Kills will be playing at the Showbox at the Market with Cold Cave on May 9.
  • Buffalo Springfield have announced that they will be touring for the first time since breaking up in 1968. As of now they have released a limited scheduled of some California dates as well as a performance at Bonnaroo, but hopefully they’ll get a full-fledged US tour together. For more info, click here.
  • Another forthcoming release you can listen to right now is the Toro Y Moi song “I Will Talk To You.” As part of Record Store Day, the song will be released as part of a split 7″ with Cloud Nothings on April 16. Click here to stream the new song from the South Carolina chill-waver, and check out the cover art below.

  • Death Cab For Cutie recently released “You Are A Tourist,” the first single from their upcoming full-length release Codes And Keys, and now they have announced that they will be filming a live music video for the song, meaning that the video will be aired live online, as it is being filmed. • Before John O’Regan became Diamond Rings, he fronted the Toronto band the D’Ubervilles. The band lost steam when O’Regan was hospitalized with Crohn’s Disease, the experience that led him to eventually start releasing music as Diamond Rings. Now, with some solo success under his belt, O’Regan is getting the band back together, literally, except this time under the name Matters. Click here for more info and to view the video for Matters’ “Get In Or Get Out.”
