Video Roundup 4/6

  • Longtime favorites Gang Gang Dance are about to drop their fifth release, Eye Contact, out 5/10 in the US. The stroke-inducing video for standout track “MindKilla” calls to mind the iTunes visualizer. Check it out below:

  • Owen Pallett‘s 2010 release Heartland was one of the best records of last year, and now one of the top cuts “The Great Elsewhere” gets the video treatment with this vaguely romantic, woodsy clip directed by Yuula Benivolski and Geoffrey Pugen.

  • Black Lips have a new record coming out, Arabia Mountain, and now they’ve released a new video for album cut “Modern Art.” It’s druggy and sporadic, with squids and birds popping in and out of frame as the band apparently goes on a pretty heavy trip.

  • Winnie the Pooh is pretty freaking cute. She & Him are also super cute. Combining the two may be a cuteness overload, but apparently someone decided it’s worth the risk: the band is contributing to the soundtrack for the new film, out July 15. In this clip, Zooey Deschanel plays some songs while Pooh and co. pop in and out of her piano. Then she talks about hugging him. Oh, bother.
