As Letters of Note points out, two responses to Radiohead fan mail have been unearthed. Both are penned by frontman Thom Yorke, one handwritten in ’94 and one typed in ’96. The first, pre-Bends, is a letter in which Yorke muses about someday having their plectrums framed while his bandmates are apparently recording, while the second is a short but sweet letter of encouragement to a young girl. Dearest Rob.
Thanks for writing. Wow! Framing T-shirts. Next thing we know we’ll have our plectrums framed in “Rock CafĂ©”s around the world! Or not.
I’m sitting in the control room of a studio in London. - ‘RAK’ where we’re recording new stuff, for the album & so on. Phil is currently playing a wierd ride cymbal thing on Nice Dream. Jonny’s in the corner drawing with an Apple Mac.
Hope you like the new stuff!
