Another LCD Soundsystem headline? Deal with it! James Murphy’s project may be retired, but apparently the brand is only beginning, as following the previously announced Record Store Day Franz Ferdinand cover comes the news that the band’s final performance is going to be released on DVDs that you can buy with money you would have given them anyway to see them live.
When asked by a fan on the band’s Facebook, a representative (presumably Murphy) quickly replied, “we will!!!!! we filmed it! much nicer than the stream!!! i need to mix the music and then they need to edit between all the cameras!” Details end there, but until further news, you can tide yourself over with the slew of fan videos and pirate clips ripped from Pitchfork’s stream of the event.
