2011 is the 20th year of Chicago-based alt-rock-turned-corporate festival Lollapalooza, and last night the lineup was announced. Despite featuring massive names like Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse, My Morning Jacket, Cee Lo Green, Damien Marley & Nas, and The Cars, the festival sports a well-endowed indie undercard as well. Some of the highlights include Bright Eyes, Beirut, Explosions in the Sky, Atmosphere, Ratatat, Crystal Castles, Death From Above 1979, Flogging Molly, Lykke Li, The Kills, Two Door Cinema Club, The Mountain Goats, Sleigh Bells, Smith Westerns, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Cults, Noah and the Whale, and The Naked and Famous, among others. Catch the full lineup here or below. Lollapalooza takes place August 5-7 at Chicago’s Grant Park.
