Ontario rockers PS I Love You made a splash with their 2010 debut, Meet Me at the Muster Station, a record that’s packed with scuzzy guitars and thunderous drums. It’s enough to make one forget that the band’s a duo -- guitar/vocals and drums -- they manage to sound far more sweeping and epic than their lineup. Frontman Paul Saulnier wails and croons while his riffs drive and fall, and drummer Benjamin Nelson holds it all together with a rhythm section that’s as simple as it is raucous. When Saulnier lets loose and tears his guitar to shreds on acclaimed single “Facelove,” heads roll and jaws drop. Frantic, scattered indie rock has never sounded so good.
