  • Neo-soul’s Mayer Hawthorne is set to release a 6-song covers EP called Impressions, and now you can snag a sneak peek at one of the tracks, a take on Electric Light Orchestra‘s “Mr. Blue Sky.” Word has it this take was recorded live in one sitting in a tent in Belgium with his band, The County.   • Sonic Youth frontman Thurston Moore has a new clip for “Benediction,” a cut from his forthcoming solo album Demolished Thoughts, out May 24. The video’s made up of stock war footage, which is kind of fitting when you think about it. Watch below.

  • Still can’t wait for Death Cab For Cutie‘s new album? Apparently, neither can they, with the release of a fourth single from Codes and Keys. This one’s “Underneath the Sycamore,” and you can stream it below or at Soundcloud.

  • YACHT‘s forthcoming 10-track album Shangri-La is getting more and more hype, for the first single “Dystopia (The Earth is on Fire)” and now because of “I Walked Alone,” a new cut that was debuted on Santa Monica’s KCRW 88.9 FM.   • Enigmatic Swedish duo jj have a new video for “Angels,” a cut from their 2010 mixtape Kills. The clip features footage of the band adventuring through Singapore and Hong Kong. Watch:
