Monday, May 16th

THE GREENHORNES with Jeff The Brotherhood and Stereo Sons @ The Crocodile ($13, 8PM, 21+)

Cincinnati rockers The Greenhornes bring their veteran dose of riff-heavy garage rock to unsuspecting Seattleites (file under: Guided By Voices, The Raconteurs). Nashville rockers Jeff The Brotherhood are sure to kick the evening off with a gritty yet familiar bang. Monday night seems like a good enough excuse to go to a kick ass rock ‘n’ roll show, unless of course you have school the next day. (BUY TICKETS)

THE LOW ANTHEM with Daniel Lefkowitz @ The Triple Door ($17, 7:30 PM, All Ages)

All the way from Providence, RI, The Low Anthem‘s unique Americana music gives hints to gospel, folk, and blues. Warning: You are likely to see some exceptional musicianship and more instruments than you can shake a stick at (they play anything!). Oh, and did we mention they can sing too? With songs about cigarettes, whiskey, wild women, and Boeing 737’s, this is smart and unique folk music. They should sound absolutely amazing at The Triple Door. (BUY TICKETS)

MAN MAN with Shilpa Ray & Her Happy Hookers @ Neumos ($18, 8PM, All Ages)

If you enjoy fun and energetic live shows, look no further than MAN MAN, arguably one of the wildest stage shows in indie-rock right now. Come put your unsuspecting friends up-front for this one and enjoy the hilarity that ensues. Look for the band sporting all-white clothing and war paint. (file under: Did you miss LES SAVY FAV this year?) (BUY TICKETS)
