- Minimal pop/dubstep sensation James Blake has been wowing listeners with his debut self-titled, and now there’s a new video to go along with the magic. A mix of both parts of his album standout “Lindisfarne” soundtracks this surrealist clip featuring a cult-like pact between friends. Or something like that. Check it out over at Pitchfork.tv.
- Enigmatic viral phenomenon iamamiwhoami is apparently not over yet, given that the group(?) has uploaded a new video, the creepily beautiful “; john.” The song is as much Goldfrapp as it is The Knife, but the video is in keeping with iamamiwhoami’s mysterious and bizarre aesthetic. Get entranced below.
- Much-hyped glam-poppers Smith Westerns appeared in the AV Club’s Undercover series recently, taking on Tom Petty‘s classic “American Girl” for a sloppy but energetic session. As hinted by the band’s twitter, they may have been drinking at the time.
- Swedish duo jj have been pretty silent since their sophomore album, excluding last year’s Kills mixtape, but the balearic pop twosome have returned with two new singles, released for absolutely free by their label Sincerely Yours. Listen and download both tracks below (via Gorilla Vs Bear), or head over to Sincerely Yours to buy ‘em.
