Local Natives Live @ Sasquatch! 2011

photos by Alex Crick

Los Angeles’ Local Natives have ridden a fairly large wave of popularity since their debut Gorilla Manor was released stateside in 2010 (the album saw a UK release the year prior). The band got the chance to prove why on the Sasquatch! Main Stage this past weekend, and they did not disappoint. Whether it was their soaring cover of Talking Heads‘ “Warning Sign” or the spontaneous hillside dance party during “Airplanes” [see the last photo below], the quintet showed why they have legions of loyal fans. But you don’t have to take our word for it -- KEXP is happy to let you decide for yourself with our full live stream of the show.
