Death From Above 1979 Live @ Sasquatch! 2011

Death From Above 1979‘s audio blitzkrieg is a storm of crunching bass riffs, furious drumming, and shrieking synths, and when the group disbanded in 2006, it broke the hearts of hardcore mosh-ravers everywhere. So it’s fitting that the banner behind them at their Sasquatch! 2011 reunion show depicted a cracked tombstone that read “RIP DFA1979 2001-2006.” Maybe even more fitting were the spectral, demonic figures of both band members emerging from behind it, plagued limbs stretching forth to the crowd. When the banner went up, the roar from the crowd was immense, but it paled in comparison to the outcry when the duo of Jesse F. Keeler and Sebastien Grainger came onstage. Keeler was clad in all-black, dark as his hair, and Grainger was his opposite: bleached blonde hair and all-white. The group didn’t fuss with crowd interaction and got right to the music, which tore the Gorge’s Main Stage mosh pit into a brawl that ended in more than its fair share of blood and bruises.

HELLO. Just checked the year and it’s 2011. The only way that you can stream this performance is through Windows Media Player or Real Player. Put it on Soundcloud or something guys?

Sorry, Herbert, but in the year 2011 people do still use programs on their own computers… besides, we don’t have permissions from bands to post these on Soundcloud. However, you will likely see significant updates to how we serve these FREE performances for our listeners in the coming year. But thanks for the advice!
