Veteran Washington rockers Modest Mouse have been staples of the Northwest scene since 1993, and on Sunday night they showcased why. A 20-song setlist bookended by “Shit Luck” and “Spitting Venom” (with indelible bro-classic “Float On” buried in there somewhere) rocked the Gorge last weekend. The Main Stage crowd danced and screamed for two hours, but never perhaps louder than when the band played not one but two new songs from their forthcoming record. The tracks, entitled “Lampshades on Fire” and “Poison,” are stomping rock classics in the making, and KEXP is elated to offer them to you as part of our live stream of the entire show. The band has never sounded this good.
Listen to the full set from Sasquatch! now!.
