Anders Trentemøller (better known by his stage name Trentemøller) is Denmark’s premier electronic musician. Since 1997, his elusive beats and sci-fi synth squiggles have confounded casual definition, deftly swinging from one genre to the next. On his latest, 2010′s Into the Wide Great Yonder, he further expands his sonic palette, and on his most recent live tours, he’s burgeoned to a full supporting band of guitarists, vocalists, and even a theremin player. Ambient and electronic soundscapes get fleshed out by organic sounds and voices, and none so prominently as in the KEXP studios, where Trentemøller brings in his five-piece band and holds all of the Denny Triangle in thrall.
