Whether or not you support current or past political policies and agendas, there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that we are all extremely privileged to live in the United States. So, KEXP would like you, our listeners, to join us for a small token of celebration for this great, if sometimes flawed, country we live in (hey, nobody’s perfect, but we do have toilets and running water). The videos in this roundup mix classic American patriotism with self-effacing and sometimes disillusioned rebellion. Of course, when you think about it, the 4th of July celebrates an act of rebellion, so maybe all these songs should be punk. However you go about it, and whoever you support, we wish you a blissful celebration.
