The big story this week, of course, is the Capitol Hill Block Party, which runs Friday through Sunday and takes over a big chunk of the neighborhood. TV on the Radio, Explosions in the Sky, Ghostland Observatory, The Head And The Heart, Best Coast, Thurston Moore, Ra Ra Riot, and Les Savy Fav are some of the bigger names on the roster, but there are plenty of new and local bands to discover, including My Goodness, Austra, Painted Palms, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and many others.
