Since 2008, Portland’s Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside have blended swingin’ roots rock, country, jazz, and blues along with Ford’s unique vocals and lyrical prowess. The band’s slowly been gaining a significant following in and around the Pacific Northwest, helped along by opening spots for sold-out shows at The Crystal Ballroom with The Avett Brothers, the Asheville Civic Center with Langhorne Slim, and Idaho’s historic Egyptian Theater with Mavis Staples. Both defiant and proud, Sallie Ford & the Sound Outside rail against the manufactured pop of today’s Top 100 and call back to an earlier time, where musicians weren’t raised by the corporate. Witness their rambunctious in-studio performance, featuring tracks from their debut Dirty Radio, below.

They were really entertaining at Doe Bay Fest! Everyone should get out to their Columbia City show tomorrow.
I like every song I have heard from sfatso. I cant compare them to anyone. I really really like it. They should show other bands how they do it
