  • Two of the most talked-about artists of 2011 have been Bon Iver and James Blake. You might have heard news that they have been planning to collaborate. Well, they did, and the result is the song “Fall Creek Boys Choir.” Listen here.
  • The CMJ music festival in New York City has announced it’s initial 2011 lineup, which can be seen here. The festival will take place from October 18-22.
  • If you don’t know by now, legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese is a HUGE music fan. He’s put together some of the best rock docs of all-time, from The Last Waltz (The Band), to No Direction Home (Bob Dylan), to Shine A Light (The Rolling Stones). His next project will focus on George Harrison. The documentary has been in the works since 2005, so this is sure to be another Scorsese masterpiece. Click here for more info.
  • And, finally, here is the latest piece of trippiness from Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips. The Lips recently released a collaborative EP with the band Lightning Bolts, part of which is the seven-minute long “I’m Working At NASA On Acid.” The video (below) is so trippy you could probably even write your own song about watching IT on acid.
