For two albums, New York’s Crystal Stilts have managed to stand out among other bands with similar sounds. While some bands merely trespass in the garages of their forebears (of bands like Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Standells, The Electric Prunes, and, even Tacoma legends The Sonics), Crystal Stilts have set up shop and even redecorated the place. Adding a bit of psych rock here, and jangle pop there, they do more than just strip it down and scuzz it up. They write catchy songs within the intersection of old and new -- plus, they have some cool looking instruments to boot!
