Last Friday the Concerts at the Mural series came to an end. Though we may be sad that it’s over, we certainly couldn’t have had a more festive and well-attended night. The finale was a special No Depression night, featuring four newer bands carrying on the traditions of the flagship “alt-country” publisher. Former Seattleite Shane Tutmarc returned home from Nashville to headline the evening that also included the genre-bending (and oft signature-changing) Ravenna Woods, the gospel-loving Pickwick, and dark woods-traversing Portland band Drew Grow and the Pastors’ Wives.
