
Fans celebrate in the Bumbershoot Music Lounge

Fans were singing the gospel of Pickwick during KEXP’s broadcast over Labor Day weekend during the Bumbershoot Music and Arts festival. Sunday was our second day live from the Music Lounge and all five bands that day were worthy of rejoicing. Local hip hop maniacs Mad Rad kicked it off by bringing everybody in attendance with them to “Party Mountain.” Then, Tennis cooled us off with sunny, seafaring breezes, while local singer/songwriter Shelby Earl twanged it up a bit with the rich sounds of her countrified rock. Puerto Rico’s Davila 666 set the stage on fire (figuratively... but don’t put it past them) for a wicked set of garage rock just before locals Pickwick drew the crowd to their feet to close out the day.
