KEXP has relocated to New York City for October 19, 20 and 21 to broadcast live from heart of the Big Apple as part of the 2011 CMJ Music Marathon. For three days, the Ace Hotel will host a series of intimate performances from their lobby, presented by Toyota Free Yr Radio, all of which will be broadcast live on KEXP. They are open to the public, and no CMJ badge is necessary for entry, so come on down if you’re in the area. We’re only a few minutes away Zola Jesus kicking off the week’s action at 10:30 (7:30 if you’re on the West Coast), and the dimly lit lobby of the Ace is buzzing with activity - even the rehearsal songs are getting big ovations from the early-comers). After Zola Jesus, We Are Augustines are due up next at 12:30 pm (9:30 on the West Coast), followed by Portugal. The Man at 2:30 pm (11:30) and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah at 4:30 pm (1:30).
