Upcoming: KEXP @ CMJ 2011, Day 3

Days 1 and 2 of KEXP’s live broadcasts from the lobby of the Ace Hotel as part of the 2011 CMJ Music Marathon, and presented by Toyota Free Yr Radio, are in the books. So far we’ve heard amazing performances from Dum Dum Girls, GIVERS, We Are Augustines, Widowspeak, Portugal. The Man, The Lonely Forest, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and Zola Jesus, and Day 3 promises to be just as exciting. Kicking things off will be WATERS, who are scheduled to take the stage in a matter of minutes at 10:30 am (7:30 if you’re on the West Coast). Following WATERS will be EMA at 12:30 pm (9:30) and Caveman at 2:30 pm (11:30). Last but not least, Deerhunter front man Bradford Cox’s solo project Atlas Sound will close out our three-day residency at the Ace Hotel at 4:30 pm (1:30). All of today’s performances will be broadcast live on 90.3 FM in Seattle, and can be streamed worldwide at KEXP.org. If you happen to be in New York, the performances at the Ace Hotel are open to the public and do not require a CMJ badge, so feel free to come on by!
