  • The buzz has been building for the release of El Camino, the new Black Keys album that is set to hit shelves December 6 via Nonesuch Records. The album’s first single, “Lonely Boy,” was release digitally yesterday, and will be released as a 12″ vinyl on November 25, supported by “Run Right Back” on the flip side of the pressing. Interesting fact about the single’s cover art: the patch of concrete on which the bulldozer sits was once the site of the building where the Black Keys recorded Rubber Factory. Here’s the video:

  • The DecemberistsThe King Is Dead was one of the most successful indie albums of the year, even reaching the top of the Billboard charts at one point. In the now distant wake of the its success, the band will release Long Live The King, a collection of outtakes from the sessions that produced The King Is Dead, on November 1. You can listen to “Burying Davy” via Rolling Stone right here. It is freaking awesome.
  • The new Tom Waits album Bad As Me has now been officially released. “After You Die” is a bonus track off the album and has been web-released and you can listen to it right here. It sounds like it should be perfect for your Halloween party this weekend.
  • We all knew that Amy Winehouse‘s death this July was likely drug and/or alcohol-related, and now it’s official. The coroner’s report has stated that the late singer died of “excessive alcohol consumption,” or alcohol poisoning.
