Tonight, KEXP presents the Reykjavik Calling showcase, a FREE concert at Neumos featuring Seattle artists paired with like-minded musicians from Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Local performers include Sean Nelson (Harvey Danger, The Long Winters) with Kyle O’Quin (Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground), David Bazan, Tomo Nakayama (Grand Hallway) and Shelby Earl -- and they’ll be trading and sharing songs with Iceland’s Snorri Helgason and Ólöf Arnalds, Greenlandic singer Nive Nielsen, and the Faroe Islands’ Gudrid Hansdóttir.
Doors are at 8PM tonight and space is limited to a first come, first served basis, so get there early! If you’re still trying to decide, then check out these songs performed by Ólöf Arnalds and Gudrid Hansdóttir live on the Afternoon Show with Kevin Cole yesterday!
