Live Around Town This Week

Trick or Treat at KEXP's Halloween Open House

Happy Halloween from KEXP! We’ve got a frighteningly good week of shows lined-up for you, starting with our Halloween Open House at KEXP from Noon to 5pm. This would be a perfect time to drop by the station and try to scare one of the DJ’s! Follow up your daytime fun with an evening at Neumo’s for their 2nd Annual Halloween Bash featuring Champagne Champagne. On Tuesday we’ve got 2 free in-store performances to choose from – Brite Futures at Easy Street or Shelby Earl at Sonic Boom. We’ve also got some great International talent in town as well –  London’s Still Corners make their Seattle debut for Sub Pop at the Sunset Tavern, and Denmark’s Trentmoller play the Showbox at the Market. Richard Thompson is at the Neptune on Wednesday, and The Maldives & Motopony are at Neumo’s on Thursday. The weekend starts with a cool local show with Gold Leaves at Columbia City Theatre, Dear John Letters at Sunset, and Jay Farrar with Bobby Bare Jr at the Tractor. Saturday is definitely your night of the week for Rock & Roll – My Goodness and Ravenna Woods are at Neumo’s, and The Young Evils, Motopony, Blood Red Dancers, Say Hi, and others play at the Skylark Cafe. Looking for some hard-hittting hip-hop instead? Black Star at Showbox Sodo should fit the bill. Here’s what else is going on this week:
