The One AM Radio has been around since 1999, infecting indiegoers everywhere with their addictive chamber pop. Originally the brainchild of Hrishikesh Hirway, the band soon expanded to include Scott Leahy and Fontaine Cole. Together, the trio have had a successful run of records that’s culminated in this year’s Heaven Is Attached By A Slender Thread, a lush and affecting collection of electronically-influenced folk-pop. While the album features contributions from all over the map, including Baths and St. Vincent violinist Daniel Hart, only the bare-bones trio came to the KEXP studios for a much more intimate session.
