  • Bon Iver, Wilco, Death Cab For Cutie, My Morning Jacket, Cut Copy, Radiohead, Raphael Saadiq, The Decemberists, Los Amigos Invisibles, Fleet Foxes, Gillian Welch, Femi Kuti, Tinariwen, Daft Punk... you might not believe that this is a list of nominees for the 2012 Grammy Awards if you didn’t check out the entire list yourself. Sure, noms also include the usual fare like Lady Gaga, Rihanna and even Adele, but with a list like this, it’s hard not to be interested this year!

  • It’s that time of year again. Over the course of the next month, every blog and publication with a pulse will be releasing their “Best Albums of the Year” list, and what’s not to love? They’re controversial, opinion-provoking, and you don’t even have to read an actual article full of paragraphs and sentences and stuff. • Franco-electronic dance duo Justice have announced a four-month world tour that will kick off on New Year’s Day in Sydney. The tour’s penultimate show will take place at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on April 25. The next night they’ll wrap things up at Forum in Vancouver, BC. For more info, click here.
  • Dizzying new YACHT video for “I Walked Alone” from Shangri-La. Observe:

  • Beck and Charlotte Gainsbourg have gotten together and made a new musical baby (listen below). Expect more of the same from Gainsbourg’s new album, Stage Whispers, which was produced by Beck and comes out December 13. Beck also produced Gainsbourg’s 2009 album IRM.

  • And finally, every teenage girl’s retail paradise Forever 21 is now selling a shirt replicating Kurt Cobain’s Flipper shirt that he scrawled himself with magic marker before an SNL appearance back in the day. Here’s how it’s supposed to be worn:

the horror...
