KEXP Staff and Volunteer Top 10 Albums of 2011, Part 1

You’ve already seen what the KEXP DJs have picked for their Top 10 Albums of 2011 (here and on the blog), but what about all of the people who support our programming and every element of what makes KEXP mighty? There are many dedicated souls who operate KEXP on a daily basis -- full-time and part-time staff, quarterly interns, DJ assistants and other volunteers -- all brought together by their shared passion for music. Here’s what they chose for their Top 10 Albums of 2001.

By the way, you still have time to vote for your own Top 10 Albums (voting ends on Monday, December 19) before we count them down on Friday, December 30.

Leigh Bezezekoff | Blog Contributor

Covering the local Song of the Day podcasts every Friday exposes me to a lot of great music being made right here in our own hometown (or nearby). Couple that with so many great local bills and finds at all local festivals like Seattle Weekly’s REVERB and it’s easy to forget there’s music being made anywhere else. This mindset is definitely reflected in my top ten this year, which, entirely by accident, is all local.
