Alan Palomo’s Neon Indian project has burgeoned far past the bedroom pop of his 2009 debut. With last year’s Era Extraña and supporting tour, Palomo expanded to a full-fledged psychedelic rock band, complete with leather jackets, fog machines, and exuberant onstage dancing. Throw in some opening dates for Phoenix, Massive Attack, and Chromeo, and Neon Indian’s future seems brighter than ever. Recently, Palomo & co. took to the KEXP studios for a thrilling set of tracks from both Psychic Chasms and Era Extraña, causing everyone in the building to jump up out of their chairs and boogie.

Wow! Living over-sea’s I’d be out of touch with the latest music scene without KEXP. Neon Indian hit the spot!
