2011 was a fantastic year for New Jersey natives Big Troubles. They brought their laid back tweed pop sound to the masses opening up for and playing alongside the similar sounds of Real Estate, Dom, Young Prisms, Starfucker, and Ducktails. In addition, they released the fantastic LP Romantic Comedy on Slumberland Records in September, and did more touring in support of it. They even had a bit of time last month to stop by Daytrotter and play a set including a cover of Go-Betweens “Bachelor Kisses”. It looks like the Year of the Dragon will also be the year for Big Troubles, as they continue to rise to pop stardom.
