It’s fitting that Cleveland band The Lighthouse and the Whaler recorded their forthcoming album at Bear Creek Studios near Seattle, as their 2009 self-titled debut drew many favorable comparisons to successful folk pop bands from the Northwest, like Blind Pilot and Fleet Foxes. 2012′s This is an Adventure is sure to build upon their bright and poppy folk tunes by adding more layers and more sophisticated instrumentation.
