The Wilderness of Manitoba has been working hard for the past year. Among their numerous 2011 releases were the beautiful and haunting LP When You Left The Fire and an international EP for the lead single off of the album, “Orono Park.” “Orono Park” also got a lot of attention last years, as it was featured on a Glamour Kills mixtape and was nominated for the best Daytrotter recording of 2011 (you can listen to their Daytrotter session here). After briefly celebrating the holidays, the band went back into the studio on January 2nd and began recording another album! No sleep when you are living the dream, I suppose. Amongst their travels, The Wilderness of Manitoba stopped by KEXP in November to show off some of the best cuts of When You Left the Fire. You can visit their website to grab the LP for yourself.
